Ukumehame is known as a good beach for whale sighting so we want to make sure the people who show up to count the whales have a beautiful beach.

The Great Whale Count is part of a series of events in February by the Pacific Whale Foundation. There is also a film festival on Feb 8 and a special Kihei 4th Friday on the 22nd. Find out more info about all these events here:

Surfrider Foundation Maui Chapter will be providing gloves and reusable bags, so bring a reusable bottle of water, a hat or sunscreen and let’s keep Maui beautiful.

There is a small parking lot at the beach park and lots of beach side parking as well.
