Stop by, “talk story,” watch, and learn! Rose will demonstrate how to make a beautiful floral hairpiece on Friday, December 13th from 10-11am! This event is free and open to the public.

Born and raised on her grandparent’s Kula farm, Rose Pi’ilani Bailey of Kula Rose is a hula dancer and Hawaiian arts practitioner. She has learned family traditions that have been passed down for many generations and takes pride in using many native Hawaiian plants and materials in her lei making and other hana no’eau (arts). She uses local flowers grown at her own home, fresh from the farm, to make lei and floral arrangements. In addition, Rose collaborates on special events such as weddings and graduations, teaches the art of lei making and hula, tends to her family’s fruit and flower farms, and styles photoshoots.

Support for this event is provided by Hawai’i Tourism.
