Kapahu Living Farm Community Workday
Saturday, December 8
Noon – 3 pm

Come join us in the mud!

Work together in the traditional wetland lo’i kalo (taro patches) of Kapahu Living Farm, and take home some harvest of taro, ulu, mai‘i, pohole…

Bring:
– clothes you can get muddy and a clean dry set to change into after
– sun and rain protection
– water/drinks
– snacks/food to contribute to a potluck lunch
– hand tools, weedeaters
– work boots, gloves, eye protection, etc. if you want to do heavier work (brush cleaning, weed eating, etc.)

Kapahu is about half a mile up the dirt road mauka just on the Hana side of Oheo bridge. If you don’t have a car with good clearance, you can park at the bottom of the Kapahu Road a little before noon for a ride up to the farm, or just walk up the road.
